Recently, I was scrolling on Instagram and realized I was quickly venturing down the road of defeat. I found myself looking at exercise videos and realizing I apparently don’t exercise enough, eat right, or look like those “influencers.” It was a never-ending struggle of self-analysis. So, I put down my phone and looked up this verse I had memorized years ago- Psalm 105:4.

“I don’t like this season.” That was a statement I recently told my husband because, in all reality, the last 6-8 months have just been really hard. To be honest, part of the hard is because I haven’t liked who I saw in me during this season. It’s brought to light a lot of things in me that needed refining or removing, in order that I might reflect the character of Christ.

Am I walking in light of His Presence? Throughout the Christmas season, I was continually reminded that we have a Savior who is IMMANUEL- God with Us! Although the more I pondered that He is with us, the more I questioned, “Am I aware of His presence with me?” Do I live my life in light of His presence? Psalm 89:15 says, “Blessed are those who have learned to praise you, who walk in light of your presence, O Lord.” His Word is full of reminders that He is with us! • Isaiah 41
